Chronology and Strategic Setting
Initial contact, the first defense program, alien escalation, occupation scenarios, resistance reconstruction, liberation campaigns, and continuing extraterrestrial threats.
Standalone Lorecast
International defense, alien invasion, occupation, resistance, reverse-engineered technology, covert operations, and command under persistent strategic uncertainty.
Campaign-plan briefing
This standalone lorecast will examine XCOM as an emergency military institution: how it gathers intelligence, prioritizes scarce resources, develops technology, manages global confidence, and adapts after defeat. It will begin with one complete 25-episode season and can add later seasons without changing its identity or feed.
Planned historical coverage
The first season will stand as a complete history. Additional seasons can be added later without moving the universe into another feed.
Initial contact, the first defense program, alien escalation, occupation scenarios, resistance reconstruction, liberation campaigns, and continuing extraterrestrial threats.
XCOM, national governments, alien command structures, ADVENT, resistance cells, collaborating institutions, and post-liberation authorities.
Abductions and terror missions, base defense, covert operations, global resistance, regional liberation, attacks on alien facilities, and final command assaults.
Small tactical squads, interceptors, engineers, scientists, intelligence networks, resistance fighters, mechanized units, psionics, and alien forces.
Reverse engineering, satellite and sensor coverage, plasma weapons, armor, aircraft, genetic and cybernetic enhancement, base construction, and scarce-resource logistics.
International legitimacy, secrecy, occupation, collaboration, civilian panic, strategic triage, resistance politics, and rebuilding after alien rule.
Flexible by design
A lorecast does not need ten seasons to be complete. A focused 25-episode season can provide a full military history, while later productions, books, games, or newly developed research can justify another season without reorganizing the site or asking listeners to find a different feed.
