The Free Jaffa Nation entered the Ori war only months after overthrowing the Goa’uld system that had defined Jaffa life for generations. Its warriors possessed combat experience and captured fleets, but its political institutions were divided by rival leaders, former loyalties, and conflicting visions of freedom. This episode examines how the Ori exploited those weaknesses through Prior missions, Gerak’s conversion, military intimidation, and direct attacks on Jaffa worlds. Some leaders treated Origin as another false religion; others saw the Ori’s power as evidence that resistance was suicidal or spiritually mistaken. The new nation also lacked a unified command capable of coordinating every faction against a rapidly expanding intergalactic enemy. Defeats at P3Y-229, Chulak, and Dakara shattered confidence and destroyed symbols of independence. Yet Free Jaffa continued fighting alongside Earth and other allies, proving that liberation had created more than a change of masters. Their struggle became a test of whether political freedom could survive military catastrophe. Visit ImaginedBattlefield.com for more military and science fiction.
