Every off-world victory depended on a logistics system able to move ammunition, food, fuel, medical supplies, spare parts, and reinforcements through a doorway only a few meters wide. This episode examines how Stargate Command scheduled wormholes, prepared palletized cargo, verified destination security, and used MALPs, radios, identification codes, and guarded embarkation areas to sustain distant teams and bases. The standard duration limit on a gate connection constrained movement, while one-way matter travel and hostile control of a destination could halt resupply without warning. Alpha Sites required stockpiles and redundant addresses because Earth might be unable to dial them during an attack. As the space fleet grew, logistics expanded to include F-302 munitions, hyperdrive maintenance, specialized alien materials, and crews operating for months away from home. Ships could carry far more than SG teams, but they also consumed vastly more resources. The Stargate collapsed distance; it did not eliminate planning, inventory, maintenance, or the vulnerability of supply lines. Visit ImaginedBattlefield.com for more military and science fiction.
