The System Lord summit presented the Tok’ra with an extraordinary opportunity: eliminate much of the Goa’uld leadership in a single covert strike. Daniel Jackson infiltrated the gathering by using Reol-derived chemical technology to impersonate Lord Yu’s human servant, giving him access to rulers who rarely assembled in one place. This episode examines the plan to release a symbiote poison, Daniel’s observations inside the summit, and the discovery that Osiris was negotiating the return of Anubis. Killing the assembled System Lords might have decapitated the old order, but it would also have left their armies and territories open to a ruler more dangerous than any of them. Daniel withheld the poison when the strategic situation changed, sacrificing an immediate victory to avoid strengthening Anubis. At the same time, Zipacna attacked the Tok’ra base on Revanna, destroying much of the organization that planned the operation. The summit became a lesson in intelligence warfare: perfect access did not guarantee a usable target. Visit ImaginedBattlefield.com for more military and science fiction.
