Bastet, Kali, Olokun, Morrigan, and Svarog occupied the crowded middle ranks of Goa’uld power: important enough to command fleets and domains, but less fully documented than Ra, Apophis, or Anubis. This episode gathers the surviving evidence about these minor System Lords while preserving the limits of what Stargate canon actually establishes. Several appear in councils or negotiations where the Goa’uld attempt to respond collectively to threats, demonstrating that the empire contained many regional powers beyond the enemies encountered most often by SG-1. Svarog’s attack on Latona offers a clearer example of their methods, combining invasion with the expectation that an isolated world would collapse once its defenses failed. Other references reveal shifting coalitions, military losses, and domains later absorbed by stronger rivals during the empire’s final wars. Their incomplete histories are themselves significant. Earth saw only fragments of a much larger political landscape, where dozens of rulers competed beyond SGC intelligence. The famous System Lords were the visible peaks of a far wider imperial hierarchy. Visit ImaginedBattlefield.com for more military and science fiction.
