Atriox: The Brute Who Defied the Covenant

Atriox becomes one of the most dangerous commanders in the postwar galaxy because he understands a truth the Covenant never learned: soldiers who know they are expendable eventually stop believing sacrifice is sacred. Repeatedly sent into suicidal assaults, Atriox survives where others die and turns his anger against the empire commanding him. This episode examines how that rebellion becomes the Banished, a coalition built around strength, usefulness, reward, and defiance rather than the Great Journey. Atriox recruits Jiralhanae, Sangheili, mercenaries, engineers, and specialists from across former Covenant space while seizing the ships, mines, weapons, and technology needed to remain independent. On the Ark, he nearly destroys Spartan Red Team during their first encounter and wages a sustained campaign against the Spirit of Fire. After returning to the Milky Way, he becomes central to the struggle over Zeta Halo.
