Edge of Dawn: Joyeuse and the Continuing Battle for Zeta Halo

The defeat of Escharum and the Harbinger does not end the battle for Zeta Halo. It begins another phase. Immediately after the events of *Halo Infinite*, the AI previously known as the Weapon chooses the name Joyeuse, establishing an identity connected to Cortana’s lineage without simply becoming another Cortana. This episode follows the continuing campaign of the Master Chief, Joyeuse, and Fernando Esparza as they search for scattered UNSC survivors and fight Banished forces whose leadership has been thrown into turmoil rather than destroyed. Their mission brings them to combat medic Lucas Browning, whose months of imprisonment and torture by the Banished and Harbinger have left him carrying information connected to deeper mysteries within the ring. Jega ’Rdomnai also remains a threat, driven by vengeance against the Spartan who defeated his war chief. Zeta Halo is still occupied, the Endless remain unresolved, and the UNSC is still scattered. The fight continues because victory over one commander has never meant victory over the war.
