Journalist Benjamin Giraud begins investigating the official story of the Master Chief and discovers that the hero presented to the public is surrounded by records that do not fit together. His search becomes the center of *Hunt the Truth*, an information war involving ONI propaganda, hidden Spartan history, colonial resentment, and renewed anti-UEG militancy. This episode examines how the postwar Insurrection increasingly operates through networks, political movements, leaks, and competing narratives rather than only isolated guerrilla cells. Giraud’s investigation into John-117’s childhood threatens one of ONI’s most carefully protected secrets: the Spartan-II children were abducted and replaced with flash clones. ONI responds by destroying Giraud’s credibility rather than allowing the truth to challenge the mythology built around humanity’s greatest hero. Meanwhile, organizations including the New Colonial Alliance exploit postwar anger against Earth. The battlefield is no longer only territory. Whoever controls the story of the war can influence whether humanity remains politically united after surviving it.
