The portal at Voi leads to the Ark, a Forerunner installation beyond the Milky Way where the Prophet of Truth intends to activate the entire Halo Array. Human and Sangheili forces follow with only the ships and troops available after months of catastrophic fighting. This episode examines the Battle of the Ark as the final coalition campaign against the Covenant leadership. UNSC forces establish ground positions, destroy anti-aircraft defenses, and support Sangheili ships fighting Truth’s remaining fleet. The Master Chief and Arbiter advance toward the Citadel while the Flood arrives aboard High Charity, turning the battle into another unstable three-sided conflict. Truth reaches the control center and forces activation procedures forward, but the Arbiter kills him before the rings can fire. The Prophet who helped begin humanity’s extermination dies at the hands of the Sangheili warrior his own regime betrayed. The Covenant’s central political leadership ends on the installation from which it intended to begin the Great Journey.
