The Flood becomes an army by turning every infected body, captured memory, and seized machine into part of one expanding system. Infection forms create new hosts, combat forms reuse the skills of soldiers they consume, and specialized organisms emerge as biomass and intelligence accumulate. This episode examines how an outbreak develops from local contamination into coordinated warfare under a Gravemind. The parasite learns languages, security procedures, tactics, and technology from its victims, allowing it to operate weapons, infiltrate ships, manipulate enemies, and plan across entire campaigns. At sufficient scale, the Gravemind can use deception and the logic plague against artificial intelligences as effectively as infection against biological life. Flood forces do not require a conventional supply chain; battlefields, casualties, and civilian populations become their replacements and raw material. Containment therefore demands speed, quarantine, and sometimes destruction on a scale other factions would consider unthinkable. The Flood is not frightening because it fights without strategy. It is frightening because every defeat teaches it how to fight better.
