The Servants of the Abiding Truth rejected the Arbiter’s alliance with humanity and sought to restore a society grounded in older Sangheili religious authority. Led in the opening Blooding Years by Avu Med ’Telcam, the movement combined genuine cultural resistance, Covenant-era belief, and armed opposition to Thel ’Vadam’s reforms. This episode examines the civil war that erupted across Sanghelios after 2552, when keeps chose sides, Jiralhanae unrest spread, and old weapons entered new hands. ONI secretly supplied the Servants in an effort to keep the Sangheili divided and too weak to threaten humanity, turning an internal conflict into a covert extension of postwar strategy. The policy nearly destroyed the alliance the UNSC publicly claimed to support. Even after major defeats, surviving Servants continued under leaders such as Dural ’Mdama and found refuge within Onyx. The Blooding Years show that ending an empire does not settle the arguments it suppressed; it releases them into a struggle over memory, faith, and legitimacy.
