The Unggoy supplied the Covenant with enormous numbers of laborers, technicians, and infantry, yet the empire treated them as disposable. Native to the methane-rich world of Balaho, they required environmental tanks on most battlefields and were routinely placed in dangerous roles beneath Sangheili or Jiralhanae commanders. This episode examines how rapid learning, strong social bonds, and sheer demographic importance made the Unggoy far more capable than Covenant stereotypes admitted. Their great rebellion forced the empire to recognize that abused workers could threaten the entire system when organized, even though Balaho suffered devastating punishment.
