The Covenant is a religious empire whose military power comes from binding many species into one hierarchy under the authority of the San’Shyuum Prophets. This episode examines the alliance created by the Writ of Union, the Sangheili warrior tradition that became its military foundation, and the client species assigned roles ranging from infantry and engineering to scouting and heavy assault. Covenant society is organized through faith, caste, ministries, and control of technology inherited or copied from the Forerunners.
