The Third Star League and the Human Sphere at the End of 3152

By the end of 3152, Alaric Ward’s Third Star League was a functioning government on Terra, but not a government accepted by the Human Sphere as a whole. This episode examines the difference between military victory, Clan legitimacy, and political consent. The new League held Terra and a small Star League Protectorate, drew military strength from Clan Wolf, surviving Jade Falcons, restored Smoke Jaguars, Sea Fox, Snow Raven, Republic veterans, and local recruits, and survived a major Capellan challenge. Alaric’s Liberty Proclamation promised security, prosperity, education, and an end to dynastic war while demanding that the Great Houses accept an authority they had never elected or negotiated into existence. None of the five Great Houses had joined by year’s end, the Rasalhague Dominion remained divided, the Wolf Empire was exposed, and the Hinterlands continued fragmenting.
