Alaric Ward, the Wolf Empire, and the Race for Terra

Alaric Ward’s race for Terra was the culmination of decades of migration, conquest, political manipulation, logistical preparation, and Clan rivalry. This episode follows the creation of the Wolf Empire and explains why Alaric treated that realm less as a final homeland than as the strategic bridge that could deliver Clan Wolf to humanity’s birthworld. His forces recruited locally, absorbed Inner Sphere practices, rebuilt naval capability, gathered Fidelis support, accepted assistance from Wolf’s Dragoons and Wolf-in-Exile elements, and searched for a way through Fortress Republic’s Wall. When unmanned JumpShips successfully tested the route in 3150, Alaric concentrated almost the entire Wolf touman at New Earth for Operation Nostos.
