The liberation of Terra was the decisive military campaign of the Jihad, but capturing Earth required dismantling an entire fortified solar system. The Word of Blake had spent twenty years rebuilding factories, naval facilities, orbital defenses, Castles Brian, aerospace bases, and command centers across Terra, Luna, Mars, Titan, and surrounding installations. This episode follows Operation SCOUR’s final approach and the multinational Coalition’s effort to divide that enormous problem among specialized task forces. Early disaster at Titan showed the cost of attacking layered Blakist defenses, while later operations combined Great House troops, ComStar knowledge, mercenaries, Clan forces, resistance networks, technicians, and naval assets. Terra surrendered on 26 December 3078, ending the Word’s control of humanity’s birthworld but not the war itself. Hidden formations and intelligence networks survived until later campaigns, and the Master was finally killed on Circinus in 3081. Liberation broke Blakist power without producing a clean accounting of every survivor. Visit ImaginedBattlefield.com for more military and science fiction.
