The Battle of Tukayyid was fought to determine whether the Clans would continue their advance toward Terra or accept a fifteen-year truce. Anastasius Focht did not plan to defeat superior Clan warriors through a succession of equal duels. He designed an operational campaign that would consume their time, ammunition, armor, and momentum while Com Guard reserves shifted between threatened sectors. This episode follows twenty-one days of fighting across prepared cities, rivers, marshes, mountains, bridges, and supply routes. Smoke Jaguar, Nova Cat, Steel Viper, and Diamond Shark failed to capture either assigned objective. Ghost Bear secured one, Jade Falcon earned a draw, and Clan Wolf alone captured both of its cities. Collectively, however, the Clans failed the Trial and Ulric Kerensky conceded. Com Guard losses approached forty percent, and several Clan formations were devastated. Tukayyid did not prove Clan technology ineffective. It proved that tactical superiority could be defeated by logistics, depth, reserves, terrain, and a commander who changed the definition of victory.
