Operation REVIVAL: The Clans Race for Terra

Operation REVIVAL was conceived as a conquest of the Inner Sphere, but its structure turned the campaign into a competition among Clans racing toward Terra. Separate invasion corridors rewarded rapid territorial gains, aggressive bidding, and personal prestige while discouraging honest reporting and cooperation. This episode follows the opening advances of Clan Wolf, Jade Falcon, Smoke Jaguar, and Ghost Bear, the capture of Rasalhague, and the first evidence at Twycross and Wolcott that Clan forces could be defeated. The death of ilKhan Leo Showers at Radstadt then exposed a profound weakness in the command system by forcing senior leaders back to the Homeworlds to elect a replacement. When the offensive resumed under Ulric Kerensky, additional Clans joined a campaign already burdened by rivalry and stretched logistics.
