Wolf’s Dragoons: The Mercenaries Who Knew Too Much

Wolf’s Dragoons appeared in the Inner Sphere as an unusually large, well-equipped mercenary command with little verifiable history and a remarkable supply of BattleMechs, personnel, and supporting equipment. During the late Succession Wars they served successive Great House employers, gaining combat experience across the Inner Sphere while attracting growing suspicion about where they had come from and how they replaced losses. This episode follows the Dragoons’ rise from mysterious newcomers to one of the most important mercenary forces of the era. Their pattern of changing employers exposed them to the military doctrines, politics, and capabilities of every major state, while Jaime Wolf built a reputation for independence and professional competence. Service to the Draconis Combine eventually turned disastrous as relations with House Kurita collapsed. What the Inner Sphere did not yet understand was that the Dragoons possessed knowledge extending far beyond ordinary mercenary experience.
