The Liberation of Terra

The liberation of Terra was the final and most consequential campaign of Aleksandr Kerensky’s war against Stefan Amaris. After years of fighting through the Terran Hegemony, the Star League Defense Force reached humanity’s birthplace and confronted a deeply fortified occupation regime. This episode examines the strategic isolation of the Sol system, the struggle to penetrate its defenses, and the enormous challenge of reclaiming a densely populated world without causing even greater destruction. Kerensky’s forces fought through prepared positions while Amaris used repression, hostages, and the resources of captured Terra to prolong resistance. The eventual defeat and capture of the usurper ended the Amaris Empire, but victory came too late to save the Cameron dynasty or restore the Hegemony’s former prosperity. Terra was liberated as a symbol but left gravely damaged as a political center. The campaign closed one war while opening the succession crisis that would soon divide the Great Houses and end the Star League itself.
